Welcome to the blog of John Armitage. I am very sorry that i have not posted anything on here for quite some time. It’s not because i have not been up to much, quite the opposite and i much prefer to be working on bonsai than sat at a computer. I promise that I will try harder!

This blog provides information about my Bonsai activities and areas of Bonsai that I am involved in. There will be galleries and information about my time(s) in Japan, the BSA and my own study group. I hope that you find it interesting and check back often as I have loads of stuff to post!

Although Bonsai is not my full time job (it is my life though), I am always available for club and society events to give talks demo’s, workshops etc and will travel pretty much anywhere for bonsai. If I can be of service to your event, society or your bonsai, please get in touch.

Nice blog John… It is a really good start. I particularly like your use of photos throughout the blog to break it up a bit. Is there likely to be an update to your blog in the near future. I would particularly like to read more about the different types of bonsai containers that are available on the market and also how you go about your bonsai trimming.
